Fundamentals of Nursing

The department undertakes training of undergraduate nursing students. Students receive training in basic nursing procedures which will help them to give basic care to patients. Students are given training in developing basic skills in the laboratory, in simulated conditions, before they are exposed to actual hospital situations. The faculty of the department provides good teaching- learning exposure to the students under the expert leadership of Mrs. Rekha Lecturer and Head of the department, fundamentals of Nursing.
Medical Surgical
The Medical Surgical Nursing department caters to the needs of 3rd & 2nd year B.Sc. (N), and 3rd year G.N.M nursing students. The aim of the department is to prepare the nursing students to become full-fledged professionals in providing comprehensive care to the individuals and enable the students to function as educators, managers and researchers in the field of medical surgical nursing. Outreach programmes are conducted every academic year to meet the needs of local community. The faculty members are highly motivated to pursue their higher education and excel in their career. The students are under the expert leadership of Mrs. Chanderlekha (M. Sc Medical Surgical) Lecturer and Head of the department.

Obstetrics & Gynaecology

At the department of Maternity Nursing, we take pride in our quality teaching. The Department of Maternity Nursing of Lord Srishti Institute B.Sc nursing College,Nalagarh provides courses in Obstetrical and Gynaecological nursing with theoretical and practical elements. The subject is taught to undergraduate students in the 3rd and 4th year of their B.Sc Nursing degree course as well as in the 3rd Year G.N.M Nursing course.
We provide our B.Sc and G.N.M Students with the qualifications and skills needed to work and perform under the expert leadership of Ms. Pritika (M. Sc. Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing) HOD of OBG Nursing. We ensure effective and efficient services to our student community and enable them to function as educators, managers and researchers in the field of maternity nursing.

Mental Health
The Department of Psychiatric/ Mental Health Nursing provides academic services and research to promote mental health and prevent mental health problems of people, their families and communities as well as continuously intervene and rehabilitate patients with psychiatric problems and their families. It uses theories of human behaviour as its scientific framework and requires the use of the self as its art or expression in nursing practice.
Community Health
Community health nursing is a field of nursing practice, which blends primary health care and principles of nursing practice with public health nursing. The department of community health nursing is intended to mould fully pledged community health nurses, who are ready to serve the patients at any place and at any time by applying the principles of community health nursing.
The department of Community health nursing is enthusiastic to provide quality education to students in B.Sc Nursing & G.N.M level, under the supervision of excellent faculty. Moreover, the department takes great interest in conducting public health research and community welfare programmes. The department has promised to facilitate both professional and personal growth in the students and the faculty by encouraging and supporting their participation in continuing educational activities.
